The Caterpillar Sinnet is an elegant rope chain tied with one leading end.

The finished product can be used to make bracelets, necklaces or to assist an item that could use an attractive strap of rope.

Question: Is there a German language equivalent to “Code Monkey”?

Essentially, I'm looking to find out what a German programmer would call themselves.

Thanks,

I want to take a moment to reestablish the purpose of these videos. They are, in short, to provided instruction for knots (for the most part) not found in knot books or other online videos.

My primary attention is given to decorative knots. However, I will, on occasion, show you how to tie a functional knot when its elegance inspires me.

Put another way. I enjoy showing how to tie “fancy pants knots”.

I quote “fancy pants knots” on account I recently received an email from a viewer who thought I spent too much time posting videos for fancy knots, and not enough time posting videos for “useful knots”.

What can I say…? I’m a fancy pants kind of guy.

I came up with the following tie years ago, thought about presenting it as a TKB tie, but then, for some reason, never did.

But like a song you thought you forgot and then suddenly remembered, I found myself tying the piece last weekend while I fiddled around with some rope I wasn’t even looking at.

Rather than letting the tie once again disappear into the reassesses of my mind, I decided to show it here.

Have fun with it…

The following is a minor detail regarding TIHKAL. Still its of great interest to me (on account I’m fact checking my third novel). Also I thought perhaps a handful of the pharmaco-chemical geeks among my friends list might find this of interest.

In his book TIHKAL, Shuglin states (in text) that his co-credited (co-credit given to Michael F. Carter) article regarding the pharmacology and synthesis of 5-MeO-DIPT was published in 1981 in the periodical, Communications in Psychopharmacology. But I just found out via research into the publishers of said periodical (Pergamon Press of the United Kingdom purchased by Elsevier of the Netherlands in 1992) that only four volumes of Communications in Psychopharmacology were ever published, between the years of 1977-1980.

Thus Shulgin either typo-ed or is mistaken (at least according to Elsevier and the copy of the article I acquired).

A minor point for sure. Still, very important to the timeline of my novel.

As you were...
